Proper Diet List For HCG Allowed Food

By Elizabeth Kelly

Every passing day, a certain type of food is added or removed from a diet plan, however this is not the case for HCG allowed food which has remained constant over time. This type of diet has been advertised more than once as a good way to lose weight. Due to the diets low calorie content, an individual wanting to implement the plan requires a physicians supervision.

The HCG hormone is quite familiar to pregnant women and it is sometimes recommended to women who wish to get pregnant but find it difficult. In addition, the hormone is also taken in by people wishing to lose weight since it cuts on the fats excess in the body and results in low appetite. The hormones which should have a minimum of five hundred calories can be taken in through a pill or injection or intake of certain foods.

First, lean proteins are the foods which have most calories in a diet and provide the body with the hormone. Some of the proteins in discussion include, lean red meat, white meat and poultry. A person is advised to take in seven ounces of protein daily. So as to avoid intake of any fat, one should remove any visible layers of fat before preparing the proteins.

Secondly, an individual under this diet plan is also can consume low calories vegetables, some fruit and carbohydrates mostly during lunch or dinner periods. Some of the listed vegetables include, onions, tomatoes, celery, cucumbers and spinach. The quantities may not be very efficient in providing the minerals and vitamins required but will be quite beneficial in adding fiber and nutrients to the diet.

Lastly, that diet can also be made better through adding flavorings in place of oil and some selected drinks as well. Some of the additives that act as flavorings include garlic, salt, mustard powder, pepper and vinegar. On the other hand, the recommended drinks include water, tea and coffee where the beverages need to have only a tablespoon of milk and should be unsweetened.

An individual is advised not to consume solid meals any time before lunch. It is advisable to take either tea or coffee that does not violate the set standards for breakfast. On the other hand, he/ she is required to have three and a half ounces of proteins like grilled chicken breasts along with vegetables such as spinach. The same is required over dinner, with varying kinds but of a similar size of three and a half ounces.

Some strong concerns have however been put forth regarding the hormone intake because of lack of evidence to support how it results in loss of weight. The diet does not contains the right amount of nutrients required daily for proper functioning. Furthermore, a very low intake of calories results in low levels of energy.

The diet plan has some noticeable side effects that need not to be ignored, such as headaches, ovarian cysts in women and breast enlargement in men. The hormone is also not recommended for anyone likely to suffer from kidney or heart problems. A very close supervision by a medic is highly advised due to the side effects likely to be experienced.
